How to convert PowerPoint to PDF ?

Considering my previous post "How to combine two different PowerPoint ? " , some users requested to post about converting PowerPoint file to PDF. Do you want to protect your article by converting into an uneditable format (PDF) ? I have some easy-solutions for you.

Portable Document Format (PDF) is the final format of the documents which are created from some different sources such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint etc. Once the file is converted to PDF, it cannot be edited or rewritten. Thus this protects actual writing of author. Similarly, PDF file is easy to use, copy and transfer. If you are using PowerPoint 2010 or PowerPoint 2011 its very easy to convert PowerPoint to PDF . But, if you are using PowerPoint 2007 you should download 2007 Microsoft Add-In which hardly takes 1 minutes.


Here are the method to convert PowerPoint file to PDF :


Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 

       PowerPoint 2007 provides a facility to directly convert PowerPoint to PDF. However, you must download 2007 Microsoft Add-In to complete this process. Once this file is downloaded , there's no need to download it later. 

Here is the link to download 2007 Microsoft Add-In : Microsoft Add-In 2007


1. Go to the link provided above and download the file.
2. After the download is completed Click on it.




3. The file will get installed within a minute.
4. Open the PowerPoint file (One which you want to convert into PDF)

5.  Click on the 'Save As'
6.  Five options will appear : PowerPoint Presentation 
                                                 PowerPoint Show
                                                 PowerPoint 97-2003 Presentations
                                                 PDF or XPS 
                                                 Other Formats

7.   Click on "PDF or XPS "
8.   Open the location where you want to save your file .




9.   Above the 'Save As' you can find 'Optimize for'  where you can choose the quality of the file.
10. Save and work is done. You can see your PowerPoint converted to PDF .



Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 or PowerPoint 2011 


1. Open the PowerPoint file .
2. Click 'Save As'
3. Give a name to your file.
4. Below the 'File name' there is 'Save as type'.
5. Choose 'PDF'  and Save .
6. Work is done .


There's no need to download anything if you are using any versions other than Microsoft PowerPoint 2007. If you are facing any problem with Microsoft Office or other files then you can comment below with your question.
